Charlotte Bobcats sign BayHawks guard Temple for rest of season
Erie BayHawks shooting guard Garrett Temple confirmed earlier today that the Charlotte Bobcats have signed him for the rest of the season after having him play out a pair of 10-day contracts.
A 6-foot 5-inch, 180-pound guard out of LSU, Temple, 24, had two 10-day contracts with the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this season.
In 15 games with Erie (30-18), Temple averaged 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds. The BayHawks acquired him in a trade in late December with Rio Grande Valley for rookie power forward Jeff Adrien.
With Charlotte signing Temple for the rest of the season, Erie will move to the top of the D-League waiver wire and have the option to sign a player out of the player pool
If the BayHawks did bring in a player, they would have to release a player from their roster, which is currently full.
